Another day, another concert – this time it was Calum Scott in Zurich at Hallenstadion. For anyone unfamiliar with him, Calum got discovered through Britain’s Got Talent in 2015, where his touching version of “Dancing On My Own” instantly made him a global favorite.

Since then, the British singer-songwriter has built an impressive career filled with emotional ballads and soulful performances. His Zurich stop was part of his current tour, the Avenoir Tour. He brought all his heartfelt music and stunning vocals to the Hallenstadion.

Local Talent Joel Goldenberger and Rising Star Lusaint Set the Tone

The evening began with two opening acts. First up was Joel Goldenberger, a Swiss artist and the night’s surprise opener. This is something I really love about this tour. Gettinglocal talent a stage to perform infront of a huge audience and giving fans a little taste of home. The “regular” support act for the tour was Lusaint, a soulful UK singer-songwriter known for her jazz-inspired sound and viral covers. Her soothing vocals and emotional delivery were the perfect warm-up for what was to come, creating a relaxed yet expectant energy in the room.

Then it was time for Calum Scott to take the stage. I was curious how the atmosphere would feel since this show was completely seated. I’ve only ever seen him at the usual GA standing concerts… So, I ended up being able to shoot the entire show (huge shoutout to Calum Mills for having me!), so I experienced it from every angle.

The atmosphere started off calm, but it was heartwarming to see some fans up front dancing from the very beginning. One highlight was when Calum sat center stage with a grand curtain behind him. Such a simple yet powerful moment during his set. When Whitney Houston appeared on that curtain, it certainly added a magical touch. Being able to move around Hallenstadion much more than I usually can, I saw so many happy faces. Friends singing and crying together, and fans simply enjoying life. All in all, it was another unforgettable night filled with emotion, connection, and incredible songs.
