Lovely to finally see Teddy Swims at Baloise Session in Switzerland! He opened the “Colors of Music” night at Baloise Session 2024. This was my last night and it was nothing short of spectacular. I sure was able to go out with a bang. Not only did I get to photograph both performing artists, I also got to interview Teddy prior to his performance.

Teddy Swims brings Soul & Powerful Vocals to Basel
The U.S. singer-songwriter whose performance was my personal highlight of the night kicked off his set with “Goodbye’s Been Good To You”. A powerful opener that set the tone for an evening filled with emotion and vocal mastery. Known for his soulful voice and heartfelt delivery, Teddy did not disappoint at all. He moved us all with a set list that showcased his raw talent and incredible vocals.
Teddy’s set was a nice mix of older and newer songs, including hits like “911” and “Bed on Fire.” One song especially stood out to me (as it also has already caught my attention when listening to his album). “Some Things I’ll Never Know” has been one of my faves on the album. Teddy himself became visibly emotional and shed some tears while singing this song. This for sure touched the crowd. You could see many fans wiping away tears off their faces… I may or may not have been one of them 😭.
Intimate and Personal Connections at Baloise Session
The genuine connection Teddy established with many fans throughout the night was lovely to witness. He took selfies, signed items, and waved at fans, creating a very personal experience that felt incredibly intimate. I knew I would like his performance, but now, a few hours after standing there and experiencing Teddy Swims live… I can for sure say one thing: I am even more excited to see him on his headlining tour! Can’t wait to see him when he stops at Hallenstadion in Zurich next year. Tickets are nearly sold out, so act quickly if you want to see him live (available on Ticketcorner).
Overall, Teddy Swims’ performance was an exhilarating blend of soul, charisma, and emotional depth. Every song showcased his talent and dedication as a performer, leaving us all in awe and wanting more (February is just around the corner, so get those tickets!).

Nemo’s Swiss Charm Closes Out the Night
Following Teddy Swims, the Swiss Eurovision winner Nemo took the stage. The brought their own unique flair to the Baloise Session’s final night. I have to be honest, I didn’t really understand how the two artists fit together. Their fanbases seem so different. Having seen Nemo at Zurich Openair this year, I kinda knew what to expect from their show. But wasn’t sure if the audience would be as receptive… But I can also admit that Nemo’s performance was a pleasant surprise. Their set included not only their new songs, but also a few oldies such as “Himalaya” or “Ke Bock” – songs in Swiss German.
Nemo’s energy kept the vibe upbeat and engaging. It was heartwarming to see younger fans in the audience, including families—a refreshing sight at this typically adult-focused event.
While the fans were stil stood up in front of the stage and vibing to Nemos songs, the audience did thin out slightly after Teddy’s set. I personally would have made the good old switcheroo… I would have had Nemo perform first and have Teddy close out the night. Nevertheless, Nemo delivered a solid, high-energy performance that kept the remaining fans entertained. Their charisma on stage helped sustain the energy of the room, making it a memorable night after all.
Ultimately, Nemo’s set brought a different but equally enjoyable end to the festival. Their lively performance gave Swiss fans a chance to celebrate one of their own on home turf, and I’m sure they left many fans with nice memories and smiles on their faces.
