Opening night at the Baloise Session always holds a special place in my heart. But this year’s lineup truly elevated the experience for me. Take That at Baloise Session Opening Night! If you know me, you know that Take That was my first big love back in the ’90s. So having the chance to shoot this event was a bucket list moment for me.

Swiss-Brazilian singer Marc Sway kicked off the night. He made sure to bring incredible energy and some lively Brazilian vibes to warm up the crowd. The audience was as expected a mix of mostly middle-aged women with a sprinkling of husbands and boyfriends in tow.

Take That back in Switzerland

As soon as Take That took the stage, you could feel the anticipation peak. The gasps and screams from the audience grew louder fast. It didn’t take long for everyone to be on their feet. It’s safe to say that the energy in the room was super high. I would say maybe even higher than usual, though I could be biased! The band played an incredible set, taking us on a journey through their impressive three-decade career. From nostalgic hits to newer tracks off their latest album, This Life, the performance was nothing short of spectacular.

Unforgettable Moments and a Perfect Ending

For many fans, the highlight of the night was their iconic first number-one hit, “Pray”. Of course complete with those signature dance moves that took us all back in time. The closing songs, however, really sealed the deal. “Never Forget,” with its famous clapping sequence, had everyone up and clapping. The last song “Rule The World” provided the perfect ending to the evening. And just like that, yet another amazing night at the Baloise Session came to an end. I’m already counting down the days until we’re back to see Teddy Swims!
