ZIAN in Schaffhausen

Another day, another concert – how about ZIAN in Schaffhausen. This was another special one. I got to shoot the full set for ZIAN. For anyone who doesn’t know him yet, ZIAN is one of Switzerland’s most talented artists – at least that’s what I think…

ZIAN has a great voice, heartfelt songwriting, and a live show that blends intimacy with pure energy. It was lovely to see how these rockstars party pre- and post-show… or do they? 😄 I’ll let you wonder about that one… Not gonna spill the beans on what happens backstage!

Schaffhausen Showed Up for ZIAN

By the time ZIAN got on stage, Kammgarn Schaffhausen was nicely filled. Not quite sold out, but I did struggle getting through the crowd, that’s always a good sign. While the atmosphere was a bit reserved at first, people definitely warmed up as the show went on. I’m still super impressed by what ZIAN and his band deliver every night. From intimate and stripped back acoustic moments (even smack in the middle of the audience!) to high-energy parts that almost turn the venue into a club. Add in a freaking Sousaphone that looks like it weighs 100kg, and you’ve got one heck of a performance! The band is tight, the chemistry is real, and you can feel how much fun they have on stage. Seeing bands have fun, and fans enjoying themselves is actually the most exciting part for me!

Fans, Vibes, and Those Special Moments

ZIAN has quite a cute and dedicated fanbase — I spotted plenty of people already wearing merch and singing along throughout the night.

What I found especially lovely is how ZIAN takes time after every show to come out to the merch table, chat with fans, take photos, and sign things. As a former fangirl (okay fine, maybe still one sometimes 🙈), I can say this kind of interaction truly keeps a fanbase loyal and happy. It’s something special, something you don’t actually pay for when buying a concert ticket, but it makes all the difference. I love how ZIAN really takes his time for everyone.
