Another night, another concert, this time it was Tame Impala in Zurich at Hallenstadion. The Australian project led by Kevin Parker has built a reputation for turning concerts into full-on sensory experiences, and with a sold-out arena, the anticipation was already buzzing before a single note was played.
One thing stood out immediately: the crowd skewed much younger than expected, but their excitement filled the space with an electric energy.
Opening the night was RIP Magic, who stepped on stage to warm up the crowd. Their set had moments, but it didn’t quite land the way you’d expect for a night of this scale. There was a slight disconnect in the room, a polite curiosity rather than full immersion. You could feel the audience holding back, almost saving their energy for what was clearly the main event.

Tame Impala in Zurich Turns Energy Into Euphoria
The second Tame Impala appeared, the atmosphere flipped completely. The crowd roared, and suddenly the Hallenstadion felt alive in a whole new way. Even the seated sections couldn’t resist, with fans on their feet, pulled into the wave of sound and light. The stage design was striking: a raised semicircle that gave the whole setup a futuristic edge. Above it, dynamic light rigs moved like glowing constellations, shifting and bending the mood with every track.
Most of the show unfolded on the main stage, but the B-stage added a surreal twist. At one point, Kevin drifted over to what looked like a laid-back lounge setup, almost like a living room dropped into the middle of the arena. Stretching out while playing synths and controls, he turned those few songs into something intimate and hypnotic. It felt much longer than it actually was, a dreamy detour in an otherwise high-energy set.
By the end of the night, it was clear this wasn’t just another concert. It was an experience. The kind where you don’t just watch, you feel it. Was it my fave show? No probably not. I did enjoy the show and really liked to see the audience be so into it. For fans, Tame Impala delivered a night full of emotion, movement, and connection, the kind that lingers long after the lights go down.
