Nashville in Concert in Zurich

Another day another concert, this time it was Nashville in Concert in Zurich bringing a slice of Music City to The Hall. On tour are Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen and Jonathan Jackson. The familiar faces behind Deacon, Gunnar, Scarlett and Avery.

This time around they also stopped by Zurich, though presales sadly did not go as expected. Many seats remained empty and the entire balcony was closed. Which led to guests having to be reassigned, which caused understandable confusion and frustration. Props to The Hall team for trying to smooth things over. It was clearly a tough night on the organizational side.

Seating Chaos and Photo Pit Challenges

The show in Zurich was seated, unlike the standing setups in some German cities. Because of that, we photographers were only allowed to shoot from the otherwise closed balcony. Not exactly prime real estate for concert photography… But I guess sometimes you just have to work with the cards you are dealt.

The evening was split into two acts with a short intermission, which I suspect the mostly older audience appreciated. I was a little surprised at how “mature” the crowd was… And whether everyone fully knew what kind of show they were about to see. A few people even left halfway through. I can’t help but feel like it was giving Belfast moms at K pop tribute situation. If you know, you know 😀

Deacon, Scarlett, Gunnar and Avery in Zurich

Musically, though, it was exactly what had been promised. We got Scarlett, Avery, Deacon (TEAM DEACON ALWAYS), and Gunnar performing songs straight from the series. The set up kept things dynamic. Each artist had their own little spotlight moments. But there were also plenty of group performances where their chemistry really did shine through. At one point, Charles Esten and Clare Bowen stepped off the stage and into the crowd. They were handing out high fives, shaking hands and snapping selfies. The surprise factor lit up the room. All in all, it was an entertaining night and a rare chance to see the Nashville cast up close and live on stage. If anything, it left me with one urgent task: rewatch the entire series.
