Another day, another concert — this time Marc Scibilia in Zurich at Kaufleuten. For anyone new to his music, Marc is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter known for his warm vocals and heartfelt storytelling. I’d been waiting to see him live since 2016.

Back in 2016 Gavin James first mentioned Marc Scibilia to me during our interview (which you can check out here: Interview with Gavin James). So finally experiencing his show felt long overdue and incredibly exciting.

Royal Hawk Opening the Night

The evening kicked off with Royal Hawk, who did a wonderful job warming up the crowd. While the venue wasn’t fully sold out, it was filled nicely, to the point where getting through the audience became a bit tricky. The crowd was slightly older than expected, but the energy didn’t suffer at all. There was plenty of cheering, clapping, and enthusiastic wooo-ing, setting a great mood for what was to come.

High-Energy Performance by Marc Scibilia

Around 8:30pm, Marc Scibilia finally took the stage, and the fun began immediately. The intro alone hinted at the high-energy show ahead. That’s actually something you wouldn’t necessarily expect just from listening to his albums. Marc captivated the room effortlessly, switching between instruments and looping sounds in a way that was genuinely impressive. Ed Sheeran who??? Between songs, he shared personal stories, including the sweet detail that his family including his kids were in the audience, making the night feel even more intimate and special.

Marc Scibilia in Zurich: Highlights & Duets

Musical highlights included Halfway There and Better Man, plus some powerful covers. I definitely didn’t expect to hear Bitter Sweet Symphony again this year! We also got treated to a brand-new, unreleased song. Another lovely touch: two duets with Royal Hawk. I loved how their voices blended beautifully. All in all, the gig was a joy from start to finish. The vibes were great, Marc proved himself to be an incredible entertainer and musician, and I truly hope he keeps his promise to return to Zurich soon.

Thanks to All Blues and Marc for having me!
