Another night, another concert, this time it was Warren Zeiders in Zurich at X-Tra. The Pennsylvania-born country star has had a fast rise since he first went viral in 2021, mixing classic country storytelling with a rougher rock edge and one of the deepest voices in the genre right now.
I got to see Warren a while back at Kaufleuten, so when I heard he was coming back to Zurich, I knew I had to be there. Plenty of others clearly felt the same way, because X-Tra was completely sold out. His new album, No Brakes, had come out just a few weeks before the show, but I was mostly excited to finally hear “Pretty Little Poison,” his first No. 1 single, live again. It’s such a great song.
Bellah Mae Opens the Night in Zurich
Opening the evening was Bellah Mae, a young singer-songwriter from England who now calls Nashville home. She started writing songs when she was eight and mixes catchy pop melodies with honest, often cheeky country storytelling, as you can hear on her latest EP, Keep It Peachy. She brought a fun, upbeat energy to the stage and was a great way to start the night.

Cowboy Boots, Hats and a Packed House
At 9:15 pm, it was Warren Zeiders’ turn. You could feel the excitement in the room, and it was really nice to see so many country-loving people together in one place. Cowboy boots and hats were everywhere you looked, and the venue was packed right to the back.
The energy felt a little slow in the beginning. But Warren managed to win the crowd over, and before long the whole room was right there with him. He knows exactly how he comes across on stage and has fun playing with that tough-guy cowboy image, which the audience loved. The shirtless encore was still part of the show and I’m sure many were waiting for that too. I mean, I have to admit, I was too.
A Big Show on Every Level
The band was on fire all night. I loved how they used the whole stage, with risers spread across it and plenty of lights that gave the show a little arena feel. They even brought CO2 jets, which made the big moments hit even harder.
One of my favorite moments was when Bellah Mae came back out to sing a song with Warren. Their voices sounded great together, his deep and gritty, hers bright and clear, and it was easy to see the crowd enjoyed it as much as I did.
All in all, it was a lovely evening full of great music, and I enjoyed every bit of it. If Warren Zeiders comes back to Switzerland, I’ll be there again.
