Another day, another concert, this time it’s All Time Low in Zurich at X-Tra. The band has been soundtracking teenage bedrooms and late night drives since the early 2000s, carving their name into the scene with catchy hooks and just enough emotional punch to keep things interesting.
I’ve actually been lucky enough to shoot them before, which made this night feel a bit like bumping into old friends. If you’re curious, you can check out the photos here: All Time Low in Zurich.
Taylor Acorn & Mayday Parade Set the Tone
Before the headliners took over, we got to see Taylor Acorn do her thing. The Nashville based singer blends pop punk energy with country tinges and powerhouse vocals, and she delivered exactly that. Confident, gritty, and completely in her element.

Next up were Mayday Parade, veterans of the emo and alternative rock scene. Formed in Florida in 2005, they’ve built a loyal fanbase with emotionally charged lyrics and soaring choruses. Their set felt nostalgic in the best way, like flipping through an old diary but with better lighting and louder guitars.

Everyone’s Talking… About that Stage Design
Then it was finally time for All Time Low. The stage design was super cool and colorful, almost like stepping into a pop punk fever dream. The black and white checkered floor gave everything a playful, slightly chaotic edge, and the huge illuminated “Everyone’s Talking” sign made for an incredible backdrop. It glowed behind the band like a neon headline, perfect for both atmosphere and photos.
The show wasn’t quite sold out, but X-TRA always feels nicely filled when these guys come around. There’s a certain comfort in that. Not overcrowded, not empty, just right.
A Grown Up Pop Punk Crowd & The Perfect Setlist
Since All Time Low have been around for a while, the audience skewed a little older, mostly 30s and up, with a few younger faces sprinkled in. Not “back pain and bedtime at 9” old, just seasoned. Who am I kidding, back pain and 9pm bedtime has been my jam for the past 10 years or so haha. But the vibe in the room was chill. People were vibing, singing along, enjoying the music without trying to prove anything to anyone.
It was great to hear some of the older songs woven together with newer material. And I was personally very happy they played “Monsters.” That song still hits every single time and is probably one of my favorites of theirs.
A Selfie on Stage & See You Next Time
One lucky guy in the crowd got his main character moment. He held up a humongous sign that his students had apparently helped him make. The band noticed, invited him on stage, and yes, he got his selfie. Mission accomplished. The crowd loved it.

All in all, this was another great show, and I’m genuinely glad my friend Angie introduced me to All Time Low in the first place. She was of course front row and center. Go find her in the photos. And whenever ATL are back in Zurich, so will I.
