Wednesday night Brett Eldredge finally brought back some country vibes to Zurich! At the Kaufleuten he performed his greatest hits and even some new songs that haven’t even been released yet!

Before Brett Eldredge took the stage, he had the wonderful Lauren Jenkins from Texas warm up the crowd. What a great artist. If you’re going to a show, make sure to get there early so you don’t miss this gem!

High fives and handshakes

At 8.15 pm the lights went down and Brett Eldredge took the stage at Kaufleuten. His amazingly deep but warm voice heated up the venue quite fast. He started saying hello with lots of handshakes and high fives – lucky people up there in the front row…

In between songs, we kept getting some short stories about Brett himself, how he exchanged his smartphone for an old flip phone or how he enjoyed the past 3 days up in Zermatt – yeah we know, Switzerland really is beautiful (we know! But sometimes we tend to forget). Halfway through the set, the 5 piece band went off stage. So there he was, just Brett and his guitar. What came next was definitely one of my highlights! We got to hear acoustic versions of “Raymond” and “The Long Way”. Just Brett and his guitar… This was magical!

The young and the young at heart made it to Kaufleuten for Brett Eldredge

It really was great to see so many younger fans at the venue. The audience was a nice mixture in terms of age. I really don’t know why, but in Switzerland, the audience at country shows tend to be a little older. But here, I was happy to see young folks, especially up in the front rows. Once the encore song started, everyone danced, or at least danced on their chairs – to the “Beat of the Music”. What a great end to an even greater evening.

While thanking us and waving goodbye, Brett Eldredge left the stage. After a short drum solo, the show sadly ended. It was great though, totally worth every penny. Let’s hope there will be more country acts coming to Switzerland soon.
