Another night, another concert, this time it was The Kooks in Zurich at X-Tra. Formed in Brighton in 2004, The Kooks have long mastered the art of breezy indie anthems with just enough nostalgia to make you text your 2009 crush.
With jangly guitars, catchy hooks, and that unmistakable British charm, they’ve built a loyal fanbase that clearly showed up in full force. The show was completely sold out and X-TRA was packed wall to wall.
Support Act Girl in the Year Above Brings Fairy Vibes
First up was Girl in the Year Above, and what a sweet start to the evening. The singer was genuinely glowing, all smiles and sparkly energy. Their set felt light and whimsical, almost fairy coded in the best way possible. The audience was relaxed, warm, and totally here for it. Great vibes all around, the kind of crowd that sways instead of shoves.

A Sold Out Night with The Kooks in Zurich
The Kooks hit the stage at 9 sharp, and the room instantly leveled up. Even though I couldn’t stay for the entire show thanks to adulting and responsibilities calling my name, the time I did get was pure fun. Tight performance, singalong moments, and that effortless cool that makes their songs feel both intimate and arena ready at the same time.
Here are all the photos from the night, little frozen sparks from a packed Zurich evening. Big thanks to Takk and The Kooks for having me 🎸✨
