Zürich Openair finally happened again. It’s been a while and I was super happy I got to take pictures at this particular festival again. The line-up was pretty awesome and the weather forecast looked quite decent too…

This was the second time I was able to go to this festival. 2019 was my premiere at Zürich Openair and I was super excited that I could be there again this year. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there the last day, but being there the 4 previous days was super cool.

Zürich Openair is different than others

Why so you ask? It’s hard to describe, but for me the atmosphere is different. The audience is quite mixed and compared to other festivals it feels like people actually come here for the music (most of them at least). From what I was able to see, there are way less drunk people, or maybe they just know how to behave 😀

The entire festival grounds are rather small, so it’s easy to get around and stage-hop a bit. Getting to the festival is super easy too, you don’t even need a car and within a 5-6min walk, you’re right there at the entrance. Plus, most of the areas in front of the stages are covered, so no big slip and slides in the mud in case it rains – that’s a big plus!

So all in all, a festival I really do like visiting and I hope I get to be there next year too. But for now, I’ll leave you with all of my photos from Day 1-4 of Zürich Openair 2022:
