Another day, another festival – The Prodigy at Zurich Openair was not on my bingo list for this yeah, but I’m here for it! It was a fun mix of genres on day 2, so the crowd was as diverse as you could imagine.

Swiss singer/songwriters, rapper but also bringing out german rap icons and pop/dance queens might be a weird combination. But somehow it worked…

Zian Opens the Mainstage with Swiss Soul

Zurich Openair 2025, Weekend 2, Day 2, kicked off with Swiss singer Zian on the mainstage. Having seen him years ago, it was heartwarming to witness how much he’s grown as an artist. The crowd showed up for him and embraced his performance fully — a beautiful way to start the day.

Manillio Brings the Beats to the ZOA Stage

Up next on the ZOA stage was Manillio, serving smooth beats and creating a perfect festival vibe. It was my first time seeing him live, and I was definitely vibing. Fun fact for anyone catching both shows: the drummer was the same in Zian’s and Manillio’s sets — shoutout to Jwan for pulling double duty like a pro!

Reezy Keeps the Mainstage Moving

German rapper Reezy followed, and let’s be real — was I surprised he showed up 15 minutes late? Not at all! Despite the delay, he delivered a solid performance and quickly pulled a nice-sized crowd around the mainstage.

Jeremy Loops Returns with Energy

It was a real treat to welcome back Jeremy Loops. Having shot several of his shows and even interviewed him back in 2016, this set felt a little nostalgic. His signature energy and charm once again filled the festival grounds.

Bebe Rexha Turns Doubters into Fans

Bebe Rexha showed off her string of chart-topping hits. I overheard people around me saying, “I don’t know any of her songs,” only to watch them sing along to almost every single track once she got going. Safe to say, she left a strong impression.

Hecht Packs Out the ZOA Stage

Swiss powerhouse band Hecht took over the ZOA stage with one of the most energetic sets of the day. The crowd was massive — probably the fullest I’ve seen this festival besides Patent Ochsner. Their high-energy performance had everyone moving, and I couldn’t help but feel a little sorry for the camera crew trying to keep up with them.

Apache 207 Draws a Huge Crowd

Next up was Apache 207, who clearly knows how to lure in the masses. Do I personally like his music? Not really. But curiosity had me checking out what the hype was about. Unfortunately, he didn’t allow photographers (a real downer), and while technical difficulties interrupted the flow, I was told the show was solid. I only stayed for a couple songs before heading back to editing.

Deichkind Steals the Show with Pure (organized) Chaos

The surprise highlight of the day for me was Deichkind. Their performance was wild, creative, and full of chaotic energy. Even though I’m not usually into German music, their stage presence won me over completely. They’re now officially on my must-see-live list.

The Prodigy Closes with Legendary Energy

Closing the mainstage were the legendary The Prodigy. Without Keith Flint, I was curious to see how the band would carry their legacy forward. They did not disappoint — the set was full of energy and grit, and the crowd was loving it. The turnout was a bit smaller than I expected, but the atmosphere was still electric.

A Perfect End to Zurich Openair 2025

Day 2 of Weekend 2 was a nice finale to my 2025 festival season. From Swiss newcomers to international legends, the lineup brought variety, energy, and surprises.

Thank you, Zurich Openair, for another unforgettable year — see you in 2026!
