Another day, another concert – today it’s all about Hazlett at Luzern Live. While the main act was RY X that night, I couldn’t help but be a little more excited about seeing Hazlett again. His music just feels like a warm hug.
Hazlett is an Australian-born singer-songwriter who is now based in Sweden. Absolutely lovely vibe, heartfelt lyrics and dreamy indie-folk sound. His music feels is very emotional, nostalgic, and beautifully honest. I first discovered Hazlett when he opened for Calum Scott a while back and was instantly drawn to his vibe. So when I saw he’d be part of Luzern Live this year, I knew I couldn’t miss it.
Hazlett Live at KKL Luzern – An Intimate and Magical Experience
Hazlett opened the night at the stunning KKL venue, and it was nothing short of magical. He kicked off his set with “Please Don’t Be” — one of my all-time favorites. I was a little sad I couldn’t fully enjoy it since I was photographing during that moment (the perks and pitfalls of being a concert photographer, haha). But even from behind the lens, I could feel the emotion pouring from the stage. What stood out most was how quiet the room became. It was like a soft haze had settled over the audience, drawing everyone into Hazlett’s sonic world.
A Perfect Match: Hazlett’s Music and the KKL Atmosphere
The KKL venue, while not always known for energetic crowds, is actually perfect for a show like this. People tend to be more attentive and really listen — which made Hazlett’s performance feel incredibly intimate. I loved watching the audience vibe with his songs. A woman sitting next to me told me afterward that she had never heard of him before, but had become a fan by the end of the set. That’s the power of live music. All in all, Hazlett was a fantastic opener at KKL, and I enjoyed every second of his set. I’m already counting down the days until I get to see him again later this year. If you want to catch him live too, mark your calendars: 27.11.2025 at Plaza in Zurich.
