Another day another concert… This time we got to see girl in red in Zurich at Halle 622. The indie-pop sensation from Norway, has quickly become an icon for heartfelt lyrics and LGBTQ+ representation.

After catching her incredible performance at Coachella back in 2022, I knew I had to experience a full headline show—and I’m so glad I did!

First up was Nieve Ella, a singer-songwriter from the UK, she warmed up the crowd with her indie-pop sound. Nieve had her own little fan block in the front rows that sang along to many of the songs.

The nearly sold-out crowd at Halle 622 in Zurich was predominantly young, with most fans in their early twenties. The vibe was very chill, and it felt like a safe and loving space, especially for LGBTQ+ folks, who clearly make up a large part of girl in red’s fanbase.

The energy of the show was well-balanced, combining high-energy songs and performances with quieter, intimate moments. One of the highlights was when Marie (girl in red) began meowing to a Billie Eilish song, which had everyone laughing and cheering. I always love it when artists take the time to to interact with the audience. Or when they tell us how songs came about and little stories behind the lyrics. girl in red sure knows how to entertain her audience and made sure the evening got a personal and warm touch too.

Overall, it was an incredibly entertaining night filled with love, connection, and fantastic music.
