Last time I’ve seen the Red Hot Chili Peppers was back in 2011. I guess it was about time to get myself back to a show. Even though this time I was only there for the first 3 songs, it was great. Of course it helped that the 3 songs actually were some of my favorites. On their “The Getaway World Tour” the RHCP played not only one but 2 shows. I was lucky enough to see their first one.

After a few impatient cheers, whistles, the band made its way up on stage around 9.15pm. First off only Flea (Bass), Chad Smith (Drums) and Josh Klinghoffer (Gitarre) showed up for the intro that felt like it would never end 😀 Once singer Anthony Kiedis hopped on stage, you could clearly hear and feel how the audience took off! It got loud! I was fascinated by all those lamps coming down from the ceiling. If you weren’t right under them, it looked really cool! Of course I can’t really tell you how the rest of the show was, but according to the snaps I received from one of my friends at the show and some Instagram posts, I’m pretty sure most of the fans were happy. The rumors that were going around about the show not being that great, don’t seem to be true, at least not for the people I’ve spoken with since 😉

After Can’t Stop, Dani California and Scar Tissue the show unfortunately was over for me. Short but pretty awesome anyway!
