Who knows the Kulturfestival St. Gallen? Honestly, until a couple weeks ago, I’ve never heard of it before. This festival confirms that the city in the eastern part of Switzerland has way more musical-goodies than just the Openair (that usually ends up being a muddy mess). Last weekend I was able to see for myself – and I was definitely not disappointed.
Good things come in small packages, that’s about right! With great weather and temperatures, we were in St. Gallen to interview Jeremy Loops and see him perform. The interview with the South African artist as well as a few concert pictures will be up soon.
What do you need to know about the Kulturfestival St. Gallen?
For almost a month, there’s a lot of great music, cultural events and happy vibes in the inner courtyard of the “Historischen und Völkerkundemuseum St. Gallen” which is only a 5 minute walk away from the city center.
There will be performances of international artists but also local talent. Most of us know that swiss summers aren’t always the best, but that’s not a problem. A big part of the courtyard will be sheltered from bad weather – all events will be taking place come sunshine or rain. But yeah, big big plus for those of you who like to be in front row – you’ll have a roof over your head there too! 🙂
There’ll also be delicious food. Depending on where the artists are from, the menus will be slightly adapted, according to the region/country that is represented that day.

Do yourselves a favor and don’t forget about this cute little festival. I for one am really excited to see what they’ve got in store for us next year. Hoping for some more cool acts – I’ll definitely find my way back to St. Gallen for Kulturfestival 2017.
