Festival season is over, so let’s get back into those indoor concert venues. In just a few weeks we’ll have a great gig waiting for us thanks to Just Because: a co-headlining show by Allman Brown from the UK and Wintershome from Switzerland. Before getting to the contest part, here’s a few infos on the two acts playing at this particular show:

Allman Brown – smooth folk tunes

Allman Brown has been recommended to me by Spotify for a while now, so I knew this guy was right up my alley. His smooth and gentle voice, the guitars and the folky music won me over pretty fast, but not just me. His song “Sweetest Thing” has over 30 Million streams to date – I mean, that’s quite a lot! 🙂 If you’re into folk and artists like Ed Prosek, Canyon City, The Paper Kites or Isaac Gracie, this might be a great fit for you too. I for one are very much looking forward to hearing Allman Brown live and singing along to “Sweetest Thing” 🙂 

Wintershome – Folk-Pop from Switzerland

This seems to be a band that we’ll probably be hearing about for a while… Wintershome – originally from the cute town of Zermatt (yes, THAT Zermatt – home of the Matterhorn) certainly have great talent.  Apart from being a rather large band (6 people in total), they’re all either related or just great friends. They’ve been playing for quite some time now and have been able to perform at great festivals such as the Gurten, Montreux Jazz or Moon & Stars – not bad for a little Swiss band 🙂 As a huge Seattle fan, I was happy to  hear that they recorded their debut album at the Bear Creek Studio – so as far as I’m concerned, there was no way this record couldn’t have turned out great!
